A check of the Malaysia Airlines website confirms that the current Tuesday morning flight to KL will be removed, leaving flights on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.
Malaysia only recommenced flying to Darwin in November 2013, but after two very tragic mishaps with their Boeing 777 fleet in 2014, and stiff competition from SilkAir, there was specification as to whether Malaysia would stay the distance in Darwin. Hopefully this reduction from four to three flights per week better matches market demand and is sustainable.
