TERRITORIANS have more choice when flying to Singapore with SilkAir putting on an extra flight from Darwin starting March 30.
The airline will increase flights from the Top End capital to five times a week.
SilkAir landed in Darwin on March 26, 2012, giving connections to 38 Asian cities out of Singapore.
SilkAir’s vice-president commercial Ryan Pua said the company had seen ‘‘encouraging demand’’ from the Darwin market.
‘‘ We have also seen increasing interest in the Northern Territory as a leisure destination from our SilkAir and Singapore Airlines passengers,’’ he said.
‘‘This increased demand, coupled with strong support from all stakeholders, has enabled us to add an additional weekly frequency to Darwin.’’
